What does "remanufactured" ink cartridges mean? Will they be as effective as brand new? Will they last as long? Is there a potential for leakage?

Remanufactured cartridge means that this is an epson empty cartridge that was refilled back to its full capacity. Smart chip on the cartridge is also reset so your printer will take it as a new cartridge.
